The Kung Fu Flash can emulate different cartridge types, load PRG files and use D64 disk images. Just place your desired CRT, PRG or D64 files on a FAT32 formatted microSD card and use the built-in launcher to execute them.

This product is a fully assembled board, no case or microSD card supplied. The board features ENIG (electroless nickel immersion gold) cartridge edge contacts.

Description

Overview

There are three buttons on the cartridge; a reset button, a menu button for starting the launcher, and a special button that is used by freezer cartridges such as the Action Replay cartridge image.

Firmware can be upgraded via microSD card – shipping with v.148 or higher pre-installed.

Ultra bright green power LED to shine through clear 3D printed case button. No case is included but you can 3D print a cartridge case such as the one designed by bigby on thingiverse.com, see here (opens in new tab).

How to use

  1. Format a microSD card as FAT32, copy your games to the microSD card.
  2. Insert the microSD card into the Kung Fu Flash.
  3. Insert the Kung Fu Flash into a Commodore 64 (powered off).
  4. Power on the C64, use the courser keys or joystick to select the desired game, press the return key or fire button on the joystick to load.
  5. Enjoy the retro fun!

At the time of writing (November 2023) the Kung Fu Flash cartridge does not support multi-disc games.
